Ellen was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and Norfolk State University. Ellen lived a life of service. She was wonderful a wife, mother, grandmother, and professional service worker. She worked for Norfolk Social Services and was a minister of Baptism at the Basilica of St. Mary’s. She also served as a member of St. Mary’s Academy school board. Ellen joined St. Mary’s as a young woman and remained an active member until her passing. Ellen was a great friend and had a huge impact on everyone who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 49 years Otis Jackson, daughter Adrienne, her granddaughter Lailah, son-in-law De’Meaco, and a host of wonderful family and friends.
A service will be held 12 noon on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Basilica of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
