Private services for Thomas J. Albrecht Jr., 62, were held at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home in Libertyville. Born Feb. 11, 1941, in Libertyville, he passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at the V.A. Medical Center in Milwaukee, following a lengthy illness.

Interment was in Windridge Cemetery, Cary.

Mr. Albrecht was a 1959 graduate of Libertyville High School. He also attended Oklahoma State University and was a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago. Following college.

Tom served with the Army in Germany. He was a former manager of the Lake Pointe Towers in Chicago.

Surviving are his sister, JoAnn Shaffar of Park City; brothers, Timothy Albrecht of Park City and Garon Albrecht of Cary; nieces, Kimberly Shaffar, Melissa (Mark) Gerharz and Dawn Albrecht; nephews, Mark Gray and Garon Jr. (Karen) Albrecht; and several great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Angela Albrecht of Mundelein.
