Rachel was born to Wayne and Nellie Redinger in 1917 at Ridgeway, MO.
Rachel was united in marriage to Paul Gillespie in November 1936. To this union was born two daughters, Patty and Sue. Most of their life was spent around Ridgeway, raising turkeys and farming. Later they moved to Bethany, where Paul worked 13 years for PCA. Rachel designed and made dolls with feather dresses and also made flowers from turkey feathers. Her greatest joy was spending time fishing with her granddaughters, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, her parents and her brother, Cleo and his wife, Dorothy.
Rachel is survived by her daughters, Patty (Don) Favor and Sue McCue, both of Ridgeway; five granddaughters: Judy, Becky, Barb, Pam, and Anna; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
