Mrs. Bell was born Feb. 13, 1937, to the late Charles and Myrtle Stanley. She is preceded in death by her four brothers: Darryl, Harold, Huey, Richard, and her sister Marie.
Eleanor was an avid master seamstress and was a member of the Washington Moose #1800. On May 27, 1978 she married Devon Bell who preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia E. Johnson of Walnut Cove and her son, William Charles Elkins of Trinity. Other survivors include four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel Washington Funeral & Cremation. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday September 18, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home.
