Father of actor Tony Curtis (Bernard Schwartz) immigrated to US in 1906. Married Helen Klein in New York City on May 5, 1924. He worked as a tailor. He and his wife lost a son Julius age 9 who was hit by a train. Per the obit he died of a heart attack.
