Jerry Wayne Spencer, age 80, passed away Friday evening September 25, 2020 at his home.

He was born and reared near Milledgeville, the son of the late Curtis Lee and Mary Ann Preslar Spencer. He worked in construction most of his life. He made his home in Chicago for a while where he did factory work. He married Gisela Pricskorn in 1980 and they moved to Henderson to build their home life together. Mr. Spencer was an independent contractor, hanging and finishing sheetrock. Mrs. Spencer preceded in death in 2004.

Mr. Spencer enjoyed watching old westerns, baseball, and also enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting.

He is survived by a daughter Janice Stewart and husband Allen, a sister Dorcas Weaver, eight grandchildren; April Davis, Rachel Martin, Holly Watson, Dylan David, Drew David, Emily David, Sean Stewart, and Leigh Stewart, and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors Crook Avenue Chapel with Randy Mead officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery.
