Jackie, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, attended the public schools of Richland County and graduated from C.A. Johnson High School.
Jackie was united in Holy Matrimony to her late husband James B. Hawkins. This union was blessed with many years of love, happiness, devotion and the birth of six beautiful daughters. She was baptized at an early age and joined Zion Baptist church in Columbia, SC.
Jackie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her favorite past time was listening to music, dancing and decorating. She was a God- fearing woman. Though physically she is no longer here with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers, James Alvin Jeter and George Trenton Jeter.
Those left to cherish Jackie’s fond and precious memories are; her six beautiful daughters, Flecia (John) Dwyer, Angela (Willie) Perlolte, Deatra Hawkins, Dreamer Hawkins, Tamela Hawkins and Keshia (Willie Dee) Glover, all of Columbia, SC; thirteen wonderful grandchildren; six amazing great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom join with the family in sharing the grief caused by her departure.
Mother take your rest; we love you but God loved you best!
