Monday, 29 August 1938, The Dothan Eagle . . .Mr. Faulk moved to Dothan in 1882 from Blakely, Ga. One of his earliest business connections was with the Malone Grocery Company, a general merchandising store. As years passed he rose rapidly, and later became head of the Malone Furniture Company, the Dothan Undertaking Company, the Dothan Vault Company and the Dothan Carriage Company. He was president of the Dothan Casket Company which at one time was the largest manufacturing plant of its kind in this part of the country. He was president and helped organize the old Southeast Alabama Fair Association. Similarly he was interested in baseball and was head of the Dixie League in the days prior to the World War. . . Mr. Faulk is survived by one daughter, Mrs. E.C. Woods, of Baltimore, and the following sons: Charles J. Jr., Joe, Nat C., and Jimmy Faulk of Dothan and Bob Faulk of Union Springs.
