VERA'S OBITUARY

Vera Faye (Bohanan) Hill was the youngest of 7 children born to Pleas Bohanan and Ada Catherine (Lee) Bohanan. Vera was born August 18, 1924, near Goodwell, OK. She graduated from Goodwell High School in 1942, and continued her education at Panhandle A&M College.

On March 11, 1955, Vera married B.F. (Ben) Hill, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. They made their home and raised their children in Amarillo, TX. , later moving to Lubbock and the DFW area. She had a passion for helping others, and delivered Meals on Wheels to many senior citizens.

Vera was a two time breast cancer survivor. She was an artist, painting beautiful pictures, ceramics, china painting, and crafts of all kinds. Vera loved decorating for the seasons, and no one will ever make an Easter bunny cake as well as she did. She loved to shop and find bargains, but most of all Vera loved her family and was always one of their biggest supporters. She was one of the strongest, kindest, and gentle women you could ever know. Even through her battle with dementia, she kept her sense of humor.

We will all miss her so much, but know she is now in the presence of Jesus and with loved ones.

Vera is preceded in death by her loving husband, B.F., in 2004; son, Ronald Hill; her parents; and siblings: Clarence Bohanan, Esther Worth, Haskell Bohanan, Annice Dowlen, Guymon Bohanan, and Glen Bohanan.

Survivors include her children: Dee Dee Hill-Morgan and husband, John of Keller, TX, Patricia Blount and husband, Neal of Independence, KS, Mary Collins and husband, Bobby of Lubbock, TX, Janet Morford of Glenpool, and Christee Anderson and husband, Doyle of Trophy Club, TX; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vera Fay Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, September 10, 2020, at the age of 96. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 16 at Medlin Cemetery Arbor, Trophy Club, Texas, under the direction of J.E. Foust and Son Funeral Home, Grapevine, Texas.
