Shirley Mavis Baker, 71, of Jenkins, died October 10 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A daughter of the late Marvin Woodrow and Ardath Looney Ratliff, she was born at Jenkins. She was a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church at Burdine.
She was a sister of the late Charles Marvin Ratliff, Roger Ladon Ratliff, James Thomas Ratliff, Rita Joan Machniack and Donna Kay Ratliff, and a niece of the late Jack Looney.
Surviving are her husband, Lonnie Baker Sr.; two daughters, Ardath Geneva Baker of Jenkins, and Juanita Denise King of Pikeville; a son, Lonnie Baker Jr. of Burdine; a sister, Victoria Geneva Dabbs of Jenkins; seven brothers, Rex Ratliff, Orby Oscar Ratliff, David Ralph Ratliff, Danny Carl Ratliff, and Randy Keith Ratliff, all of Burdine, Ricky Neil Ratliff of Haymond, and Jeffery Lynn Ratliff of Jenkins; three grandchildren, George Marvin Baker, Gage Austin Baker, Rachael Caudill; and a great-grandson, Riley Caudill.
Funeral services were held October 14 at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Ratliff family cemetery.
