Margaret had lived in Princeton since 1975 moving from Owensville. She was member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church near Ft. Branch. She graduated from Francisco High School. She was owner of Gibco Auction and Reality, and worked as a secretary in the Gibson County Surveyors office. During WWII she worked for Republic Aviation in Evansville. She had served on the Library Board, was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Gideons Society. She enjoyed spending time with her family, helping in her church and reading. She was an artist and enjoyed painting.
She is survived by her daughter, Chea Burton (Greg) of Princeton; son-in-law Jim Sutter of Princeton; 3 step-children, Peggy Sims, Vickie Holcomb (Charles), and Scott Mason (Alicia); brother, Duard “Dude” Edwards (Shirley); 4 grandchildren, Trent Krieg (Amy), Jason Burton (Laura), Aaron Sutter (Kelly) and Corey Burton; 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lawrence Callis; and her second husband, Richard “Dick” Mason; daughter, Deanna Sutter; grandson, Jeffrey Krieg; and infant granddaughter, Rhea Krieg; sisters, Mildred Osborne (John), and Melva Ott (Joe).
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday September 30, 2020 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow in the Owensville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
