Barbara Jean Ulmen was born to Bernard and Lucille on August 15, 1942 in Portland, OR. She would go on to graduate from Girls Polytechnic High School in 1961. Barbara married Harold Russell Sparks in Milwaukee, OR on June 3, 1967.
She enjoyed oil painting, gardening, crocheting, quilting, canning, drawing, and any other arts and crafts. Barbara loved people. She was up for anything you wanted to do, she just wanted to be with you. Barbara was always happy, and ready to help anyone. She was never timid or shy about sharing herself with others.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Lisa Peeters Weem (Jan) and Roberta Snider (Keith), and three grandchildren by Lisa; Jan, Jacob, and Johanna. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Russell Sparks.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
