Pastor Steven Thomas Mitchell, age 49, of Sunbury, died Friday, September 25, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Steve has been the Pastor at Fellowship Bible Chapel in Sunbury for 6 years. Steve was passionate for his faith and for teaching. He loved people, had a servant’s heart, was witty and loved the outdoors and adventures. Steve frequently taught Bible Studies to students at Delaware Christian School, served missions in India, Africa, London and all around the world with his on-line ministry. Steve was also very artistic, loved music and provided vocals for a Christian Heavy Metal band. He was a fan of collecting comic books and all things Bigfoot. Steve was most proud of his wife and daughter and loved the time he spent with them and other family members.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Supriya S. Mitchell, daughter, Malia-Lani Mitchell, parents, Allen D. and Elizabeth L. (Engel) Mitchell; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jennifer Mitchell; nephew, Jordan Mitchell; niece, Kacey Mitchell; other family members and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Fellowship Bible Chapel, 2949 County Road 605, Sunbury.
