Matt Poncelet, Pioneer of this village, who recently had resided in Wabasha, was buried from St. Mary's Church last Saturday. Mr. Poncelet, a native of Luxembourg, was 85 years of age at the time of death. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by the following children, Mrs. Eugene Tri and Mrs. Alex Tri of Mazeppa; George and Louis Poncelet of Bellechester; Nick of Stockett, Mont.; and William of Belt, Mont.

Funeral Service were held at St. Mary's Church on Saturday morning for Mathias Poncelet, Rev. F.L. Tschann officiating. Mr. Poncelet passed away at the wabasha hospital after a lingering illness. He was 86 years of age.
