Ms. Clark was born September 24, 1947 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Wilfred Leslie Hooper and Elisabeth Bimler Hooper. She graduated from Canton High School in 1965. She retired from the Hertz Corporation in 2012 after 45 years of service. She was a member of Good Shepherd UMC of Charlotte where she was actively involved in the Out and About and Room at the Inn groups of the church. She loved volunteering to help others that were less fortunate than her. Her family members were always her #1 priority and always thought of others before herself. Precious cherished memories of Claudia will remain in the hearts of her family and friends and she will always remain a part of our lives forever.
She is survived by her brothers, Wilfred Zeb Hooper and Kay Little of Gastonia, Gary Richard Hooper and wife Patti Powers Hooper of Maggie Valley; her niece, Stacey Hooper Griffith and husband Robert Griffith of High Point; and nephew, Justin Richard Hooper and wife Amanda Glader Hooper and daughters Eliana Hooper and Adalyn Hooper of Chicago Illinois. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her very much.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at the Historic Grove Church located at Crawford / Ray Memorial Gardens, 7343 Carolina Blvd. Clyde, NC 28721. Pastor Wayne Hobson of Good Shepherd UMC, Charlotte, NC will be officiating. Entombment will follow at The Horizon Mausoleum at Crawford / Ray.
