A Celebration of Life for Karla Watson, 67, of Lindale formerly of Kilgore, will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at 10 a m in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mr. Brad Clark and Mr. Micah “Bubba” Thurston officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Cemetery in Kilgore. Mrs. Watson completed her earthly journey on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday form 6 until 7:30 in the evening.
Karla was born on May 28, 1953, in Palestine to the late Carl Challis and Melody Cooper. She graduated from Kilgore High School in 1971. Karla worked for various employers including Gibson’s, Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital and then as a Dental Assistant. Her family was the source of her strength and spending time with them was when she was happiest.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years Steven Watson of Lindale; children, Lukas Andrew Watson and his fiance’ Heather of Dallas, Jeffrey Keaton Watson of Orlando, FL, Hunter Jay Watson and his wife Jeni of Lindale, Dakota D. Watson and husband Timothy Middlebrooks of Kilgore; grandchildren, Ryleigh Marie Watson, Teegan Watson and sister Nancy Dieterich of Wylie. Also, left to carry on her legacy are numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other loving family members.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Shelby Alexis Watson.
