Robert Eugene “Bud” Jarrett, 76, of Mebane passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living in Burlington. Bud was born in Alamance County to Marvin Stafford Jarrett and Virgie Workman Edwards both deceased. Robert Served his country in the US Air Force serving 22 ½ years before retiring. Bud enjoyed talking to people about his military days and places he has been. He then worked for the Mebane Recreation and Parks until retiring.
Robert is survived by his brothers, Marvin M. Jarrett, John W. Jarrett (Joan), Larry E. Jarrett (Phyllis), Henry L. Jarrett. Sisters, Augustine J. Holloway (Ricky), Bonnie J. Hensley, Brenda J. Teague (Billy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Florence. Burial will follow in Fairfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Efland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service.
