James Adelbert Maroney, 76, died Friday evening, July 22, at his home on North McKinley St., after a lingering illness. He was a life-long resident of Chelsea, where he was born October 9, 1861, the son of Daniel W. and Cordelia (Emrick) Maroney. For many years he was employed as a carpenter, retiring on account of failing health. On June 6, 1894, he was married to Minnie Finkbeiner. He is survived by the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Herbert G Loeffler; two sisters, Misses Lizzie and Nellie Maroney; and a granddaughter, all of Chelsea. Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Monday afternoon at the residence, with Rev. Fred D Mumby officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery.
