On December 25, 1940 Michael was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Cornelius and Cecelia (Kohl) Becker, hence his middle name being Noel. Michael has lived in Deerfield the past 16 years and was formerly of Streetsboro. He was retired from the US Army serving his country for over 20 years and two tours in Vietnam and after the Army he retired in 2003 from Giant Eagle Trucking. At one time he was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Church in Streetsboro, was a member of the Ravenna VFW Post 1055 and enjoyed doing lawn work and fishing.
On October 18, 2003 he married his wife Sally M. (Jones) Morgan-Becker who survives at home. Survivors also include his children Erin (Bryan) Berry of Ravenna, Alan (Cindy) Becker of California, Denise (Jim) Hau of Georgia, his grandchildren Channum, Trezdyn, Emberly, Crystal, Danielle and Ryan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul Becker.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday October 23, 2019 from 10:00 Am until time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Father Chris Luoni officiating. Burial with full military honors by the US Army will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery Twinsburg, Ohio.
