Scott "Poppa" Elliott of Terrell passed away Sept. 13, 2007 at his residence. He was born on July 27, 1917 to the late Sammy and Annie Kelley Elliott in Belton, Texas. Scott was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill, Felt and Doyle Elliott; great-granddaughter, April Elliott; wives, Mary Lea and Lawan Elliott.


He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Eula Mae Elliott of Terrell; children, Thomas Elliott and wife Carolyn of Bells, Leo Elliott and wife Wanda of West Tawakoni, Waunell Harvey of Mesquite, Jimmy Elliott of Garland, Buddy Bodin and wife Rene of Terrell; sister, Bertha Firdell of Van; 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends.

Scott was a devoted loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all. Services will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007 at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell.
