He was the husband of June F. (Savaria) Giardino.
Born in Woonsocket, son of the late Daniel and Mathilda (Billiet) Giardino, he was a resident of Bellingham most of his life and a graduate of Bellingham High School, Class of 1955.
Following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving in Korea.
After his discharge he continued his education at Johnson & Wales College where he received his associate's degree in business administration. He worked for RH Long Cadillac in Framingham for years and for Sherman Chevrolet and Bessett Ford, both in Franklin, and was the owner and operator of Danny's Motor Sales in Bellingham since 1970.
A car enthusiast and an Elvis fan, he was a member of Woonsocket Elks Lodge 850.
Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Daniel C. Giardino of Bellingham, Michael P. Giardino of Lebanon, Pa., and Gina M. Henault and Laurie A. Giardino-Rondeau, both of Bellingham; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and his sister, Linda Beaulieu of Lincoln, R.I.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m., from Cartier's Funeral Home, 151 South Main St., Bellingham, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m., at St. Blaise Church, 1158 South Main St., Bellingham.
Burial will in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland, R.I.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.
