Wanda Joyce (Hibdon) Russell, 86 of Bowie, TX went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.
Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25th, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, with Pastor Mike Henson officiating.
Wanda was born December 5,1933 in Nocona, TX to Hayden H. and Elsie (Cantrell) Hibdon. She graduated from Nocona High School, May 24, 1951. On February 21, 1952, Wanda married Robert Marion Russell in Nocona.
Wanda worked for many years as a bookkeeper for American National Insurance, Wichita Construction Co., and Sewel Uselton Insurance. In later years, Wanda enjoyed serving Bowie ISD as a ticket-taker at the athletic events. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie, TX.
She is preceded in Death by her parents, her Husband Robert Marion Russell, and her Brother Herman Hibdon.
Wanda is Survived by her Son, Richard Lynn Russell (Rick) and wife Rhonda of Montague, TX; Grandsons Robert Christian (Chris) Russell and wife Traci of Montague and Timothy James Russell and wife Lori of Bowie; Great-grandsons Riley Tate Russell and Waylon James Russell; and Great-granddaughters Kinley Rae Russell and Gracelyn Blair Russell.
