She was born in Mount Vernon New York, the daughter of Samuel and Jessie White.

She married Manton Marble Wyvell of Alma, Allegany County, New York on 29 November 1905. He became an attorney after graduating Cornell Law. They moved to the Bronx where he began his practice. They lost their first two infant sons, Charles Mortimer and Wallace Wyvell; Charles to an accident and Wallace to respiratory disease.

Her husband moved the family to Washington DC when he became William Jennings Bryan's personal secretary in President's Wilson's administration. They lived in a beautifully appointed home on Woodley Rd NW Washington DC. She bought and sold real estate in addition to raising a growing family. She acted as a host to her husband's social affairs with the political corps.

After her husband's death in 1935 she downsized the home, and her children attended variously Duke University, and George Washington University and University of Denver.

In her later years she lived in Midland Texas and Wheat Ridge Colorado.

...Died at Mountain Vista Nursing Home, 4800 Tabor St. after a short illness. Cremation followed. Burial was in Hartsdale New York. She was born 18 November 1881 in New York City and educated in New York state. She married Manton M. Wyvell in Mt Vernon New York in November 1905. He died in 1935.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs Marion Leland of Wheat Ridge, Mrs. Eleanor Hogg of Houston Texas, Mrs. Janet Phelps of Laurel MD, and Dorothy Wyvell of Midland Texasand two sons, Conrad of Bethesda MD and Donald of Paris France, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
