Laura "Laurie" LeAnn Gibbons Clark, age 61, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

She was born on October 12, 1958 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to the late Elizabeth Ross. Laurie worked as a sales clerk in the retail business and was a member of Destination Church.

She was a very spiritual, giving, and loving lady who cared more for others than herself and would give you the shirt off her back. Laurie never met a stranger and loved people; but most importantly, she loved God, her family and her friends. She endured many struggles during her life but she always kept her faith and kept a smile on her face.

Along with her mother, she was also preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Hall and her brother, David Gill.

Laurie is survived by her daughter, Krystal Clark and boyfriend Matthew Bray of Leicester; her sons, Kevin Clark and best friend Christen Noell of Hendersonville, Michael Hall (Carmen) and Joshua Hall, both of Candler; her brother, Dennis Gill of Candler; her 13 grandchildren, Kayleigh, Avery, Sawyer and Elizabeth of Leicester and Jonathan, Summer, Hailey, Michael Dylan, Holli, Jaeda, Kinsley, Lauren, and Asher, all of Candler; and a very special "second mother" to Laurie, Linda McIntyre of Hendersonville.

A funeral service will be held at 12pm, Saturday, September 26, 2020 in the Penland Family Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be receiving friends an hour before the service from 11am-12pm. The Rev. Dr. Jeff Dowdy will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Redmon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshall.
