JUDY MARIE (Robinson) HALL, 72, left this earth and joined her Lord and Savior September 23, 2020. She was born October 10, 1947, the first of three children of the late Thurman Marion Robinson and Ella Frances Sorrells Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steven Lonnie Robinson, all of Covington Virginia.

After studying at Staunton School of Cosmetology, Judy became a Hair Stylist in Lexington VA. Later, she turned her creativity towards Cake Decorating from which she retired. Judy spent most of her life in Augusta County Virginia, save for several years she live in the TN area working in Clarksville and Hendersonville as the Head Cake Decorator for Food Lion . Many in the Mt. Juliet area may remember her as the "Little Old Lady with the purple hat" or "Victoria's Granny" while still venturing out to enjoy herself while she underwent cancer treatment. In 2018, Judy returned to Virginia where she remained until her passing.

Judy had a quick-witted sense of humor and was the most outgoing introvert that you would ever meet. She was loved by many and created lasting friendships throughout her journey while living in Virginia and Tennessee.

Her faith in God remained strong throughout her life to the very end. The most important thing to Judy, above all else, was providing an opportunity for others to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Judy had an assignment to witness to those hurting, lost, or in need of a gentle reminder how important they were to Jesus and there is hope and eternal life. She was genuine and intentional in her actions. Judy would prepare small tokens of encouragement and always kept a variety of materials with her so when God placed her in a situation to reach someone, she would be ready to answer the call.

Judy was excellent at problem solving and she would dig in and get it done, and we were grateful for it. More times than not, her way was the most efficient, productive and results driven path. She loved on purpose. Every gift had meaning, and she would explain why she selected that gift specifically for you. She was a creative talent - - even when packing up her belongings, folders were found with notes stating, "make 4 copies", and inside would be a layout page from clippings she had collected so she could share with others. She would write her initials on items she purchased along with the date and often a short line or two about the day, documenting the memory and why she bought it. She left handwritten notes hidden in books, on the back of artwork or in totes which she had previously packed knowing her final days on this earth would soon be over. Those messages of wisdom and love will forever linger for all to read as they scatter across generations.

Judy is survived by her only daughter, Stephanie Hall Vita, of Mt. Juliet TN. One Granddaughter, Victoria A. Vita, of Mt. Juliet TN. A Sister, Sheila Via (J.R.) of Salem VA. Sister-in-law, Vanessa Hoke Robinson, of Pigeon Forge TN. Aunt, Ethel Marie Thorne, of Salem VA. Uncle, Harold Robinson, of Covington VA. Nephews, Trinity Via (Gwen) of Roanoke VA, Steven L. Robinson II (Jessie) of Covington VA. Nieces, Jessica Via (Ryan Furrow) of Salem VA and Laura R. Wettstaedt (Nick) of Pickerington OH. Cousins, Wayne Mayo of Richmond VA, Ricky Mayo of Buena Vista VA, Troy Gillespie, Janet White (David) of Covington VA, Dennis Thorne (Dawn) of Lexington VA and Amy Thorne Stapleton (Jerry) of Kenai AK.
