Daughter of daughter of William and Bertha (Sumner) Hinneberg. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Odessa. She grew up in rural Odessa, where she attended country school through the eighth grade. She married Clarence Gust Hillman on October 18, 1953. They farmed together for many years in the Odessa area. They worked together on woodwork projects that are in many family homes today. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Clarence; and her siblings: Clarence (Marie) Hinneberg, Inez (Emil) Meister, Thelma (Leroy) Hanson, Bernard (Lucille) Hinneberg, Jonetta (Lester) Kelly, Elmyra (Vern) Kittelson, and Loren Eugene (Constance) Hinneberg.* Surviving are her sister, Elaine (Gene) Dahl of Dawson.
