Pat was the second oldest of 10 children. Although admitted in a Catholic Seminary after High School, he later chose a civilian life and was never married. He was loved by all his family and considered an insightful moral compass. In later years Pat taught Silversmithing and Jewelry making for many years and was well respected at Jacksonville's Gem and Mineral Society. Pat was noted as being soft spoken and caring and always placed family first in his life. His siblings in order of age were George, Mike, Dan, Tim, Shirley, Sylvia, Gerry, Terry and Matt.
