HAROLD CLIFFORD MCCOY was born March 26, 1951, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harold and Janell (Ross) McCoy. He was affectionately called "Cincinnati" by his Columbus friends.

Harold attend Catholic schools until high school, where he attended Aiken High School. He furthered his education through the General Education Development program, Marion Technical College, Columbus State College, Ohio University and The Ohio State University.

A gregarious man, people have always liked and really loved Harold. He is remembered mostly for his love of family, jazz music, the Denver Broncos, and how he would entertain the children of the family. He had a keen sense of humor and found joy in family gatherings and holidays.

Harold's greatest passion was working with recovery services and ex-offender programs. He had the pleasure in working with the SCI Retreat Recovery Services Department in Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania as a Certified Alcohol and other Drugs Peer Assistant, Somerset County Juvenile Drug Court of Somerset, Pennsylvania as Program Assistant, Somerset Alcohol and other Drugs Education Program in Somerset, Pennsylvania as Program Assistant; The Columbus Urban League in Columbus, Ohio as a Career Development Counselor/Ex-offender Specialist, OASIS Therapeutic Community of Pickaway, Ohio as an Assistant to the Director of Education, Build the Bridge of Ohio in Columbus as House Manager, Friends of the Homeless Men's Shelter in Columbus as a Client Advocate, and his most cherished position of the Director of Men's Programs for MCS TOUCH of Columbus.

Harold was baptized at the Antioch Baptist Church of Columbus by the late Pastor James Frazier in 1986.

At age 69, he passed peacefully, on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at The James Medical Center, in Columbus, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Janell McCoy; brothers, Stanley McCoy, Donald McCoy; infant son; brother-in-law, Steven Cave; granddaughter, Collyn Hawkins; nephews, Robert Riley, Virgil Johnson; and uncle, Robert Smith.

Harold is survived by his wife, Regina McCoy, his sons, Harold McCoy, Ricardo (Tina) McCoy, Erik McCoy and their mother, Peggy McCoy; Daryl McCoy, Lawanda Kirk and their mother, Deborah McCoy; daughter, Tracie Norris and her mother, Pamela Norris; grandchildren, Kolbi, Kourtney, Kelci, Kamia, Devin, Jayden, Ricardo, Morgan, Kandice, Tori, Chandler, Givantè, Jalis, Erik Jr., Arie, Ashley, Arielle, BreAsia, Cameron; brothers, Larry McCoy (Arlington, Texas), Robert (Cornelia) McCoy (Indianapolis, Indiana); sisters, Joyce McCoy, Jean Riley (Atlanta, Georgia), Renee Cave, Janice McCoy, LaTanya (Gilbert) McCoy-Lampkins, and Bonnie McCoy; aunts, Dorlean Smith and Irma Jean Sparks; cousins, Diane Sparks, Vicki Turpin-Reese and David Sparks; great nephew, LaMont Davis; special friends, Mrs. Eva, Mrs. Becky, and Tadie Tidwell; dear friend and bonus brother, Brian Woods; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, associates, colleagues, and clients of MCS TOUCH.
