Elizabeth J. Robertson was married to Andrew B. McWilliams 23 July 1807 in Warren Co., KY. William Williams and Abner Robertson served as securities. She was born in SC, daughter of Abner and Eleanor(Moorehead) Robertson. Elizabeth had moved with her parents from SC to Ky. Andrew and Elizabeth were early settlers in North AL.They first settled near Huntsville, AL on the TN River in 1812. After a few years Andrew acquired property in Limestone Co. in 1818. They settled about 5 miles north of Athens where they remained until Andrew's death. They built a log home near Muddy Creek. Elizabeth remained in Limestone Co. after Andrew's death but she was blind by 1870.
Their ten children were: i.Abnor Robertson b. 11 May 1808 ii.Manerva b.13 Mar 1810 iii. William E. b.13 Oct 1812 iv. Frances b.15 Mar 1815 v. Juliann b.25 Sept 1817 vi. Angeline Cornelia b.16 Jan 1820 vii.Andrew Jackson b.5 Nov 1824 viii. Asbury Stone b.20 July 1827 ix. Alabama E. b. 8 July 1831 x. Martha C. b. 1835
Several of the children are also buried in the old section of New Garden.
