Lisa Sue (McCloud) Lucas was born September 3, 1963 to Donavon and V. Elaine (Doran) McCloud in Boone. She graduated from Perry High School in 1981. Lisa was united in marriage with Charles Lucas on September 25, 2010 in Oskaloosa.
Lisa was a gentle spirit with a big heart. She was understanding and forgiving of people and loved deeply.
Lisa spent her time drawing and coloring, playing bingo (at least twice a month), and enjoying movies on Netflix and Hulu. She was not technologically savvy, but she was learning.
She enjoyed snuggles from her cat, “The Egyptian”, who is a tuxedo cat that was gifted shortly after Lisa and Charles’ wedding. Lisa’s biggest interest was nature. She found so much beauty in butterflies, landscapes, and water, such as the ocean.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Charles of University Park, IA; siblings, Brad (Dawn) McCloud of Boone, Kevin (Jean) McCloud of Charles City, Matthew McCloud of Oskaloosa, Donavon “DJ” (Carrie) McCloud of Oskaloosa and Darla (Rick) Miller of Burlington; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; parents; sister, Jolena McCloud; and her beloved daughter, Christina Hope.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone.
