Ann Harwar was the daughter of Thomas Harwar and Elizabeth Travers. She married in 1729, Capt. William Beale of Chesnut Hill. A 1927 survey by the Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR) determined she likely died in 1766 based on references or lack of references amongst the period records of family members and neighbors.

There is no indication that Mrs. Beale was buried in the churchyard of North Farham Parish and it is likely she was buried in the home cemetery where her husband would eventually be buried.

William Beale and Ann Harwar are known to have had eleven (11) children:

William Beale b. ? d. 1800 unmarried
Reuben Beale b.? d. 1802 married: Judith Carter. (his cousin by Elizabeth Beale Carter)
Ann Beale married: Williamson Ball. Predeceased her father and not named in his will.
Susanna(h) Beale b.? d. 1921 married: John Tayloe Hamilton. (her cousin by Anne Beale Hamilton)
Sarah Beale married: James Evans
Mary Beale married: William Brooke
Elizabeth Beale married: Richard Parker
Winifred Travers(e) Beale married: Robert Wormeley Carter
Frances Beale predeceased her father and not named in his will.
Thomas Beale b. 1736 d. 1799 married (1) Sarah Smith (2) Jane Currie (3) Sinah Ball
John Beale b. ? d. 1803 married: Mary Daingerfield

The will of her husband does not name her or daughters Ann and Frances who are all believed to have predeceased William Beale. A later court case brought by Williamson Ball affirms who the children of William and Anne were and set to determine that the spouses of their children who died before them were entitled to the Beale estate regardless if progeny were produced or not. The case firmly contested by Robert Wormeley Carter who was married to Winifred Beale and whom in the end benefited greatly from the estate of his late in-laws.
