Cherryl was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Franklin Pennell and Gladys Williams; her husband, Roger Dale Blair; her son, Bobby Glenn Blair, and her brothers, Novice and Joe Pennell. She is survived by her sons; Robby Dale Blair of Midland, Texas and his children Brooke Blair, Meagan Blair, Brendan Blair, and Marclay Norton; son, Shad Franklin Blair, wife Rachel and their children; Joseph Glenn and Franklin Mack of Austin, Tx; grandchildren; Macy Buchanan of Ft, worth and Vance Blair of Cedar Park; sisters, Linda Riley of Melrose, NM and Maritta Reed of Justiceburg, Tx.
Cerryl was born on July 29, 1949 in Post, Texas. She graduated from Post High School in 1967 and went on to attend South Plains College before marrying Roger Dale Blair on October 23, 1970. They welcomed their twins, Robby Dale and Bobby Glenn in 1971, and Shad Franklin in 1977. Cherryl was a track star in high school, loved basketball, horseback riding, hunting, music and dancing. She dedicated her life to family, friends, and her career in the west Texas oil and gas industry, specifically pipeline construction and maintenance. She was funny, honest, real, caring and an incredibly hard worker. She deeply loved her friends, family, and Jesus.
Cherryl's children would like to especially thank their aunt Maritta for her loving care and tireless efforts in assisting their mother in her final days. They have never seen a fiercer love than what they saw demonstrated for her little sister before she passed.
Visitation will be held at Hudman Funeral Home in Post, Texas on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 6:00-7:30PM. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Terrace Cemetery in Post, Texas
