Mary C. Althouse, 95, formerly of North 13th Street, and Stabon Manor, Hank Street, died March 22, at 5:35 p.m. in Spruce Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Reading, where she had been a resident since July 14, 2001.
Her husband, William H. Althouse, died April 30, 1976.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Peter S. and Alva (Reynolds) McCaskey.
Althouse was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Reading, where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
she is survived by a son, Bruce W., Reading.
Other survivors include a brother, William C. McCaskey, Audubon, N.J.; and two sisters, Jean C. (McCaskey Gentry, Lompoc, Calif., and Grace H. McCaskey Hershberger, Exeter Township.
There are also four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
althouse was predeceased by a son, timothy.
services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Grace Bible Church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reifton. Bean Funeral Homes Inc., Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
