Mary Sue Richard, 60, of Mauriceville, died Monday, September 21, 2020. She was born December 28, 1959, in Newton, to Robeline Larkin Kimes and Frank Edwin Kimes.
Mary Sue was a big foot enthusiast and she loved cardinals. She enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors especially going to the beach. She found great fulfillment in helping to feed the homeless in Beaumont. Above all else, Mary Sue adored her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Holly Smith, of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Madelyn Cochran; Maddox Whittaker; McKenna Smith; Memphis Abshire; and Angel Arreola; niece, Tracy Henry and family; and brother, Frosty Kimes.
A gathering of Ms. Richard’s family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2020, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her interment will follow at Newton County Cemetery, Highway 87 North at Hardy Street, Newton, Texas.
