He was born in Vincennes on December 18, 1944 the son of George and Dorothy (Farmer) Jackson.
He was married on February 8, 1964 to Virginia Carrie who survives.
Fred had worked for Glover Shoe Store for sixteen years and retired from Levy Books. He had also worked for Sears, Jay Petroleum and JCI. Fred and Virginia were foster parents for over forty years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife Virginia, Four sons Monte Jackson (wife Angela) of Greentown, Travis Jackson (wife Kathy) of Pueblo, CO., Chad Jackson of Portland and Chris Jackson (wife Ashley) of Portland, One daughter Krystal Bell (husband Jerry Jr.) of Portland, One brother Ted Jackson of Anaheim, CA Eleven grandchildren and Three great grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers Gene and Don Jackson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday September 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Logsdon presiding.
Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery
