Also surviving are his daughter, Sarah Anne (Richard) Rockwood of Springfield; two sons, John William (Milli) McNutt III of St. Louis, MO and William Wilder McNutt of Springfield; grandson Carson William Rockwood; two brothers, William (Barbara) McNutt of Decatur, and Arthur (Susan) McNutt of Athens; and one niece and four nephews.
John was retired from the State of Illinois Department of Insurance Public Pensions Division. He was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Toledo Masonic Lodge 834, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 231 and was active in the Boy Scouts and he was an Eagle Scout.
John lived by his favorite saying: “God gives you everything you need.”
