Jack Griffin, 67, of Ruleville, MS, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS. Rev. Bubba Morris will officiate.

He was born October 30, 1952 in Ruleville, MS, to Alton Griffin and Merle Clark Griffin, and was a lifelong resident. He worked for Ruleville Manufacturing for 35 years. He was also the chief of the Volunteer Fire Department of Ruleville for 5 years and served the fire department for 40 years, where he served his community with unsurpassed bravery, dedication, and passion. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Homer Griffin and Huey Griffin; sister, Joan Griffin, and his parents.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Jackie Williams and husband Jeremy of Leakesville, MS; son, DeWayne Griffin of Boyle, MS; grandsons, Ezra Smith, Wyatt Williams, and Django Griffin; granddaughters, Destiny Miller, Gypsy Griffin, and Gemma Griffin; sisters, Coralee Morris, Nina Faye Poe and husband Oscar, and Eloise McGowan and husband Earl; and brother, Billy Joe Griffin and wife Faye.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home of Ruleville is in charge of arrangements.
