Katharina was born in Norka, Balzer, Saratov, Russia. Her parents were Adrian and Catharina Elizabeth Bachman Glantz. Her siblings were: Anna Maria, Heinrich, Johannes, Conrad, and Maria Dorothea.
Her son George Ross was born 25 January 1841 in Saratov, Oblast, Russia. She married George Yager 5 April 1851 in Norka, Balzer, Saratov, Russia. Their children were Christina, born 22 January 1854, and Peter, born In October of 1855.
Katharina and George came with their son Peter Yager's family to America in 1892. They settled in Hamilton County, Nebraska before coming to Rusco Township, Buffalo County, Nebraska. Her son, Goerge, died in Hamilton County, in 1893.
The Yager family was living just south of the new town of Pleasanton in 1900. The family consisted of the parents, Peter and Katrina, and their children Henry, Peter, and John. Also living with the family were Katharina and George, parents of Peter. Katharina died in this home on December 29, 1902 and was buried in the newly formed Pleasanton Cemetery.
By 1910, the family had moved to near Culbertson, Hitchcock County Nebraska where many of the family is buried.
