Arthur left this earth and went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2020. He was born on February 2, 1923, to Roy and Grace Scott, in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joycelyn Culpepper Scott, his parents, and siblings: brother, Raymond Scott; sister, Willadean Courtney and sister, Audra Pennington.

Arthur worked for Halliburton in his early years and then worked at Transcon as a driver, where he retired at age 65. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and playing golf. He was a very caring Father and grandfather and was always there when they needed him. After graduating from Crooked Oak High School in 1942, Arthur joined the U.S. Navy, and served from 1942-1945, as a submariner, during World War II.

He loved his children: daughter, Jeri Ann Hardy and her husband, Harris of Pascagoula, Mississippi; daughter, Patricia Jean Evanchyk and her husband, Jim of Moore, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Lora Leigh Robinson, Anna Michelle Wright, Michael Lee Goff, Jennifer Beth Evanchyk and Sara Lynn Vannocken and 11 great grandchildren.

Arthur was a member of Capital Hill Baptist Church for 58 years.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, September 23, at Resthaven Funeral Home from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
