Leonard Joseph Ambrose passed away peacefully in his home with family by his side on Sept. 19, 2020. He was 89 years old. He graduated from Aquinas High School, LaCrosse, WI. and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He then worked for the USPS for 31 years. Following retirement he enjoyed traveling to Canada, fishing with family and friends, hunting and staying at his cabin and playing a few rounds of golf.
Lenny's wife , Betty Jane Vatland, passed away in 1999. They were married for 41 years. He later married Elizabeth Oldenburg on Oct. 22, 2004. Leonard is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, and his sons, Dave ((Vicki) , Steve ((Diane) , and Paul (Leslie).He is further survived by a sister, Kathleen Brady; a sister-in-law, Jean Ambrose and grandchildren Leah, Joseph, Jacob, and Michael. In addition, he is survived by his second wife's family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; and brothers, Tom and Richard Ambrose as well as a host of additional family. Blessed be the memory of Leonard Ambrose.
