Deborah Leann Thomas, Checotah resident, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2020 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 57. She was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1962 to James and Margaret (Collins) Duffy in Austin, TX. Deborah graduated from Moore High School in 1981. She attended Duncan Brothers School of Hair and worked as a beautician for over 25 years. On August 8, 1997 Deborah married Scott Thomas. In her life she did many things as realtor, census taker, travel agent, Options, restauranter, loved garage sales and shopping. She especially loved to see her boyfriend “clearance!” She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ann Duffy and her father, James Charles Duffy. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Scott Thomas; her daughter, Amanda Brooks and Jesse Chronister; her son, Austin John Thomas and Brooklyn all of Checotah; her grandchildren, Chase Brooks, Noah Brooks, Lucille Ann Thomas, Elexas Chronister, and Journey Chronister, and her great grandchild, Kayden Lopez. Deborah is also survived by her sisters, Jackie Miller Young and Ken, and Jennifer Miller all of Dallas, TX, and Karen Graham of SC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and a lifetime of friends.
