Geneva Ruth Howard, age 78, of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky, on October 12, 1941, a daughter of the late Silas Phillip and Amelia Mae Hamilton Howard. She was a Bourbon County High School graduate and retired Square D employee. She attended Queens Street Christian Fellowship, in Mount Sterling. In her spare time, she loved tracing her family history and enjoyed photography, working puzzles and fishing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: five brothers, Henry Thomas “Tiny” Howard, Frank Howard, Paul Howard, Melvin Howard and Orville Howard; and four sisters, Ruby DeAtley, Margo Liggett, Edith Buzzard and Thelma McCord. Survivors include: a sister, Barbara Arnold; a sister-in-law, Deloris Howard; a brother-in-law, Carl Liggett; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Tracy Crouch officiating. Interment will be in Elizaville Cemetery, with casket bearers being Arthur Buzzard, Gary Buzzard, Larry Buzzard, Larry Gene Howard, William Melvin Howard and Timmy Howard. Honorary bearers are Larry Dunn, David Dumford and John Smoot. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, at the funeral home.
