Murphy, Cynthia Marie Stone Gross Murphy, age 45, long term resident of Stratford, beloved wife of James Murphy, went home to the Lord very suddenly on November 15, 2016 with her friends and family at her bedside at Bridgeport Hospital. She was born in Bridgeport on May 3, 1971 and was the daughter of Frank and Irene Laskovski Stone. Cynthia graduated from Sacred Heart University with a degree in Child Psychology and was a blessing to the children and families she cared for at Trumbull Loves Children. Most recently she used her training to bring joy to the lives of the elderly patients she loved and supported. Those acquainted with Cynthia knew she always put the welfare of others before herself. She will be deeply missed by friends and family, both in the United States and Poland. Cynthia is survived by her father, Frank Stone of Livermore, ME, her mother, Irene Laskovski Stone of Stratford, and her husband, James Kevin Murphy of Stratford. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:30 AM in St. James church, 2070 Main St, Stratford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Lynch. Interment will follow in St. Michael's cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford.
