Cecilia Marie Baker, 49, of Lake View, Alabama passed away September 19, 2020.

Cecilia was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1970 and lived there until 1980 when her family moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

She had many friends in Detroit and missed them when she left, but even distance couldn't stop the love and bond she had with people.

Cecilia loved volunteering, helping those in need, and life in general. Her favorite pastime was reading, which led to her volunteer work with local libraries over the years. She was a giving sole and was involved with the Amelia Center, as well as, pet rescue centers and never met a person who didn't become her friend. She loved her family and her friends more than anything in the world. Her friendships were the most important thing in the world to her and she gave so much of herself to so many others.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Ethan Reed Baker and Evan Ryan Baker; her mother, Sheryl Dianne McClure (1948-2014) and her father, Desmond M. McClure, Sr. (1928-1997)

Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle Marie Baker; her brothers, Howard (Detra) Baker, Jr., Desmond M. McClure, Jr. and her sisters, Rhonda Baker and Jennifer (Christopher) Henderson; her nieces, Kayla (Daniel) Maygan, Addison and Avery; her nephews, Julien, Alex, Karter, Keegan and Deacon and extended loving family and friends.

Graveside service will be Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
