Charles E. “Bucky” Buckley, 62, of Hancock, NY, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 1, 1955 in Hancock, NY, the son of Charles H. and Alice (Hormerte) Buckley.

Bucky had a true passion for golfing. He was a golf instructor, starter, and assistant pro, working at several prestigious golf courses along the east coast including, Cornell, Beth Page, and Bonaventure Resort. Bucky loved animals and will be remembered for being a practical jokester.

Surviving are his parents, Charles and Alice, 3 siblings, Jack, Julie and husband Dick Bojo, and Eric and wife Lisa, 1 niece, Wynter and husband Adam Newman and their boys, Andyn and Case, and 1 nephew, Forrest Weyrauch. He is also survived by his uncle, Herb Buckley and wife Shirley, and several cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4-7PM at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 11AM, also at the funeral chapel. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Northern Wayne Fire Hall, 1663 Crosstown Hwy, Lakewood, PA 18439.

Memorial donations can be made in Bucky’s memory to the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, P.O. Box 88. Delhi, NY, 13753.
