Crawfordsville resident.
Passed away Friday at Franciscan Health Lafayette East after an extended illness.

Son of Clayton and Velma Myers Cummings.
Survivors include wife Monie; children Linda Dalbey and Todd (Kendy) Cummings; grandchildren Michele (Colby) Montgomery, Clay (Kaleigh) and Kaycee Cummings; great-grandson Tyler Lee Cummings; niece Jennifer Parsons; sisters-in-law, Joann Schlosser, Charlene Snelling and June McIntyre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Ethyl Cummings, son-in-law Steve Dalbey, brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Marilee Cummings, sister-in-law Euleta Dowell, and nephew Joe Cummings.

1955 graduate of Crawfordsville High School where he played football.

He was active in the National Guard .

Retired as a plumber/steam fitter for Local 157 at Terre Haute.
He and his wife managed and ran Ben Hur horse stables for many years.

Member of the International Professional Rodeo Association and a former Indiana Ropers and Doggers Association Steer Wrestling Champion.

Current member of the American Legion.

He was an auction bid catcher for the former Ton Crier Agency.

Ron enjoyed his family, friends, rodeos, auctions and college basketball.

Celebration of life at a later date.
