MARK'S OBITUARY
Mark Anthony Evans, age 48, of Beaver, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020.
Born on June 25, 1972 in Beckley, he was the son of Catherine Prunesti Evans Black of Grandview and the late Roger Evans.
Mark was a heavy equipment operator, and was a former coal miner. He had also worked at the Trade Center as a machine operator during the debris clean-up operation, after the 9-11 act of terrorism in New York.
Other than his mother, Catherine Black, survivors include his companion of over 30 years, Latisha Redden of Beaver, his children, Sean and fiance Brittany of Cool Ridge, Eric Evans of Beaver, and Emily Evans of Beaver; brothers, Troy Evans of Florida, Steven Evans of Virginia, and Michael Evans of Charleston, WV. A sister, Patricia Harrold of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Bentley, Natalie, RoseLee, and Brentlee. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 with Rev. Charles Lilly officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family members.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
