Mary Glynetta Durham, 85, of Mexico, passed away Monday, September 7, 2020, at her home. Glynn was born March 8, 1935, in Fayette, the daughter of James and Eula Cathernine (Huttsell) Silvey.

On February 7, 1970, in Mexico, she married Franklin Denver Durham.

Glynn worked all of her adult life. After 25 years as a cashier (starting at Jay’s IGA) she retired, but retirement wasn’t for her. She found ways she could do what she had always been known for, taking care of others. She spent several years as an in-home companion/nurse and then opened then opened a daycare out of her home. Several children were blessed to be loved and cared for by her over the years. Glynn had a way of making people part of her family. Jay Gourley from her IGA days was her family as were her coworkers. She had a close-knit group of friends whom she loved to have fun with, also her family. Her daycare kids became like her own and even after the children grew up, they continued to be a part of their Nanny’s life. Glynn loved life. She loved to travel, dance and spend time with her family and she knew no stranger. She will be missed by many.

Glynn is survived by her husband of 50 years of the home; two daughters, Lisa Tidball (Robert Young) of Mexico and Charla Estill (Susan Barth) of New Franklin; one son, Keith Durham of Mexico; eight grandchildren, Phillip (Lisa) Armstrong of Columbia, Wendi Estill of Mexico, Tim Davis of Mexico, Shane (Amy) Estill of Mexico, Dylan (Melissa) Estill of New Franklin, Robert Harrison of Fulton, Denver Durham of Mexico, Cody Durham of Mexico; great-grandchildren, Ashley Kelsay, Austin kelsay, Collin Clement, Aaliah Shivers, Arreona Davis, Allison Mundy, Cha’mar Nickens, Ainsley Armstrong, Holly Estill, Grady Estill, Devon Estill, Amaya Estill, Breasia Estill, Carley Fox, Addison Fox, Samantha Martin, Collin Martin, Kaleb Allison, Mercedes Durham, Charlie Ann Durham, Alexis Durham; great-great grandchildren, Bryson Kelsay, Logan Metheny and Owen Methey; two sisters, Carol Blackburn of Arizona and Emma Jean Estill of New Franklin; and sister-in-law, Barbara Sue Baysinger of Mexico.
