The funeral of E. J. Henderson was held at the Methodist church Monday at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Leedom. Mr. Henderson was 70 years of age, born in Fayette county, Ohio, April 22, 1835. He came to Nebraska with his family in 1885 and they have since made this their home. Nine children remain to mourn the loss of a kind and loving father, the mother dying about a year ago. The sympathy of the community is extended to the sorrowing ones.

"In Town and Township -
E. J. Henderson, one of the pioneer settlers in this part of Hall county, died at his home northwest of Wood River Saturday morning. He has been sick for some time, nearly all the time since his wife died a year ago. Mr. Henderson was well along in years, and has resided in this community for many years where he has always been held in the highest esteem by his friends and neighbors. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 o'clock p.m., the services being in charge of Rev. J. B. Leedom, and interment will be made in the Wood River cemetery.
