Ruby Faye (Arinder) Pope
June 5, 1941 ~ September 18, 2020 (age 79)

Mrs. Faye Pope, age 79, a resident of Morton passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held 10am-12pm Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral Services will be held 12 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Bro. Reggie Williams will officiate the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Pope was born in Lorena on June 5, 1941. She worked for Atmos Energy for many years until she retired in 2004. After retirement, she looked forward to the Atmos Retirement dinner because she enjoyed socializing with them, and she considered them part of her family. Faye never met a stranger. She was a massive caregiver to anyone in need. Faye was known as mom to many children that she would take care of. She made sure they were fed, and safe and most of all shown love. Faye was an active prayer warrior with many other ladies from the church and community. She loved her Lord, her church, East Morton Baptist Church, her pastor, Bro. Reggie Williams and all her church family. Faye and her sisters loved to travel. One sister, Fran Shoemaker and Faye traveled all over. She was a doting, loving grandmother. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. Faye lived to love her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Michelle Pope Skipworth and parents, Floyd Arinder and Tressie Thomas Arinder.



She is survived by her children, Anthony Joe Pope and wife, Jeannie of Philadelphia and Melissa Mason of Clinton; siblings, Mary Frances Shoemaker of Brandon, Floyd Imogene Benton (Tonia) of Pearl, Helen Grace May (Billy Jack) of Florence, Roger Arinder (Nam) of Sacremento, CA and Danny Clay Arinder of Braxton; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Sullivan; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.



Pallbearers will be Corey Hulett, Nathan Mason, William Eubanks, Noah Eubanks, Chris Arinder and Cody Driskill. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Arinder.
